Aethelric Further Reduces ACP and Increases Damage Output with New Purchases

Aethelric SELLS: His MW Steel Shield for 185 GP

He REPLACES IT: With a Darkwood Heavy Wooden Shield (Automatically Masterwork) for 257.

Aethelric Also BUYS: A MW Darkwood Lance for 410 GP (This will not always be on him. . .so unwieldy and clunky!) and will be kept in "Other" with his Mount, since he only wields it mounted.

Please see the proper attack options are added to his attacks block. It should be nearly identical to his longsword attack options with the following exceptions:

He gets no +1 to hit for Weapon Focus (He does not have Weapon Focus Lance yet).

Lances have a critical range and multiplier of 20/x3, not 19-20/x2.

His spirited charge with a lance will deal 3d8+9 base damage.

o_0 The MW is noted in the dropdown.

Also, I need to get a DM ruling on something.

I originally put 5 ranks into Intimidate because I was considering taking him down a build path that depends on high ranks in the skill. Power Attack, Furious Focus, and Dreadful Carnage.

Free intimidate checks whenever he kills something. . .which, if he's mounted, can happen quite a bit.

But then I realized furious focus only works with two handed weapons, and he uses his weapons one handed while mounted. So while he could still benefit from Dreadful Carnage, furious focus would be useless to him, and fairly unoptimized.

I'd like to put his 5 Skill ranks into the Climb skill, which, as a ranger, he honestly should be good at.

Is this okay? I don't think I've ever even used it, because he's so nice. -_-;

Selling the MW Heavy Steel Shield will only nett you 85gp.

Processed purchase of Darkwood Lance and Darkwood Shield

Added attack

I would be okay with swapping out the Intimidate for Climb because of the reason you state but I'd like a second opinion.

Fine by me presuming all prerequisites are still met :)
