Amsel was been imprisoned underneath Lake Amsel, near Amsel an See. The guardian Warden Glenna watched over her imprisonment. After she broke free from a ground sample that was illegally taken by Harbourhead, the circle tracked her down to the bar of the Bent Creek Bad Boys.

Some negotiation later, she agreed to move the massive firedust field under the lake to prevent a war, in exchange for the circle helping her out later.

She is a rival of Ahlat, who took her purview as God of Firedust transport in her absence.
