If cast on an object from which energy channels were forcibly decommitted within 1 round, you can take on the burden of keeping the object active by immediately committing enough channels to prevent the object from deactivating. In both situations, you must have the necessary channels available that would allow you to commit normally; if you do not the spell fails.
