Differences on Meta Rules
There the rules about the rules. These are here for clarity mostly, and (as in all cases) agreement at the table trumps the rules.
Single source of truth
This campaign uses the wiki as the single source of truth. With the exception of the mechanics noted in Source Books, if something is not on the wiki/Rules wiki it is not in the campaign.
If it turns out that rules are in contradiction with each other, the rules on the wiki/Rules wiki trump rules from referenced source books. Within the Rules wiki, text trumps tables and other summarizations.
The single source of truth meta rule does not mean that homebrew content is not allowed! The opposite is true: see Custom Content for details and guidelines on proposing custom content.
Rules changes
While care has been taken when designing the rules for the Maalum campaign to write balanced and fair rules, they are nevertheless subject to change due to new insights, balancing corrections, or setting theme tweaks.
When the rules change you can, within reason, propose adjustments to your characters to compensate for the rules changes.
Spoilers
We try to keep spoilers to a minimum. Especially in the wiki/setting wiki. In the wiki/rules wiki we try to limit the amount of rules that explicitly spoil some parts of the setting, but in some cases this is unavoidable. Additionally, to aid with the creation of custom content, we have a specific spoiler policy in place: custom content spoilers.
We use the Tags/Spoilers and Tags/Redactions tags to indicate the spoiler status of a page. Players can request a review by tagging a page with Review.
