Differences on Ilfreann Knowledge Areas

Differences between by and the current version
Characters used to have a lot of knowledge skills in Ilfreann, representing a lot of information and skill available to the original cast. These have reasonably been partially forgotten as part of the memory loss / mental changes during the transfer. However, it would be beneficial if some of them are returned to the PCs so they can better shine in their own unique ways. ---- Legacy Knowledge Expertises ---- Currently, characters have a Knowledge Expertise in the form of the general 'Ilfreann' knowledge expertise. While this covers details about Ilfreann, it does not explicitly allow them to benefit any special knowledge Proposal: Allow characters to regain some of their old knowledge in the form of legacy knowledge expertises. The current bonus 'Ilfreann' knowledge expertise covering basic Ilfreann knowledge would just be one example of a Legacy Knowledge Expertise. Legacy Knowledge Expertises are chosen by individual players and it must be something that the character reasonably knew on Ilfreann. For example, Kukichi would reasonably have knowledge about architectural designs, and had Knowledge: Engineering 14 with a +24 bonus. Thus, the Architectural Designs knowledge expertise would be an appropriate bonus knowledge expertise. However, despite his extensive knowledge of architecture, Kukichi could not reasonably have had knowledge of Kalinian Alliance Architecture. Thus, it would not be appropriate. In all cases, the player must actively propose a legacy knowledge expertise to the storyteller and get it approved in order to become eligible. ---- Earning Legacy Expertises ---- Proposal: AllowOnce approved, rather than buying the legacy knowledge expertises in the traditional way, characters to regainearn these outside of experience gain as a 'parallel system' to reward taking initiative in the exploration of the setting. To unlock a legacy expertise, the character has to unlock some ofsort of new knowledge in Maalum, related to their old knowledge in the form of legacy knowledge expertises.
