Differences on Upcoming HMs

Differences between by and the current version
This page lists the upcoming and previous HMs relating to rules changes, and how we use the wikis. ==== Upcoming HMs ==== * //rules// Do not forget to make note of your prepared spells //when inscribing//! * How dotable// At the table, we get Inscription Personalization Points? Automagically upon levelling up?'ll start using nicer coins! The exact values for each coin can be found on [[setting/currency]]. Proposals to review: [show:list] Tag [[Proposal]] In [[wiki/notes]] [/show] ==== Previous HMs ==== ---- 2024-06-25 ---- * //rules// With regards to the actual-spell backed cantrips for experimentation purposes: how to cover non-caster classes, and how to approach this without multiplying the spell conversion load? * //wiki// The [[rules//meta rules]] have been updated with a short spoiler policy, and the [[Tags/spoilers]] tag has been created as a counterpart to the [[Tags/Redactions]] tag. The [[rules/custom content]] page contains an explicit spoiler policy, and some rules pages related to custom content have been updated. ---- 2024-06-11 ---- * //rules// [[rules/Soulshard]] adjustment: After reinscription, your Eidolon will be fully restored as if Restabilizing Meditation has been used. Any additional things, such as feats, that would apply for the class feature apply after resinscription as well. * //rules// To better allow the creation of [[rules/custom content]], we will be handling spoilers a little differently. * //rules+setting// Discussed how to handle the setting intent that magic is a bit more practicable and malleable than the current rules allow. Two suggestions were made and we want to implement those: * Suggestion #1: Every caster class gets cantrip-variants of spells known, that are dependent on the actual spell still being available for casting (still prepared for wizard-like casters, still having the right slots available for sorcerer-like casters, etc.) * Suggestion #2: Allowing [[rules/Spellcraft]] checks for modify a spell a little at casting time, allowing for more flexibility, at the cost of overextending and suffering mishaps. * //wiki// Add a [[tags/Work in Progress]] tag for things that are not propsals yet, but that you want to tag to communicate that they are not done (or rules) yet. ---- 2024-05-01 ---- * //rules// Do not forget to make note of your prepared spells //when inscribing//! ---- 2024-04-10 ---- * //rules// Provisional approval for the [[Rules/Slayer]] class (to allow Svala to multiclass into Slayer 1.) * //rules// Provisional approval for [[Rules/Meteor Hammer]] (to allow Rovar to use his chosen weapon.) * //question// Class ordering when multi-classing and first-level bonus hitpoints? This will be handled as described in [[rules/Multiclassing]]. ---- 2024-03-06 ---- * //rules// Adjusted [[rules/Detect Magic]] to give a +2 competence bonus on identifying inscribed items, instead of allowing a roll. * //rules// Switched [[rules/character_advancement]] to milestone-based experience, which includes a reweighing of experience points. * //rules// Everyone's experience is reduced by 12xp to correct for time taken pre-level 1, and the corrected experience table. * //question// There is a first [[Armor]] table. What are your opinions on adjusting ASF (and PSF) to account: 1) for restricted spell selection ofmagic users (not everyone has mage armor-equivalent spells ready to rock), and 2) setting-related material properties? * //wiki// All recently approved feats and spells have been added. When converting feats, please put the feat body text at the top, and the feat table summary in the synopsis field. ---- 2024-01-10 ---- * //rules// Adjusted the [[rules/Inscription Personalization#Inscription Personalization Points]] per level for level 1 to +4, with the note that these must be used on a Physiological or Cognitive Enhancement Suite pick. ---- 2024-01-03 ---- * //rules// Correct the [[rules/Psychic]]'s Utilistic Transducer 'Second Aspect' discipline power is replaced with 'Early Aspect Aptitude'. ---- 2023-12-27 ---- * //rules// Add note on bonus languages due to intelligence to [[rules/linguistics]] rules. * //rules// Reminder: we have special [[rules/knowledge]] rules, so make sure to propose and declare knowledge areas. (As per [[rules/New Characters]], all Ilfreann-origin characters get the special "Ilfreann" knowledge area for all knowledge skills. * //wiki// Classes have been added tot config. * This includes an attempt at the Soulshard Eidolon. Let me know if this needs adjustment. * //wiki// Languages have been added to the config. This includes both Languages and Scripts. * The character sheet does not understand our custom linguistics rules (nor will it). So you'll have to make do. * //wiki// Please track spent skill ranks for Linguistics and Knowledge, as well as knowledge areas, on your character sheet notes. ---- 2023-12-20 ---- * //rules// Adjusted Aran Racial feature 'Energy Channels' to start with two energy channels.
