Only the first ten levels are listed here, but the class is intended to have the full twenty. Loosely based on the Favoured Soul class
A priest or priestess is a religious servant of a god, authorized to perform rituals on behalf of said deity. Aran do not normally worship Gods, but those who originally hail from Ilfreann may fall back into their old patterns in the face of adversity.
Priests differ from clerics in that they are not in direct contact with their deity, but channel their own power in accordance with what they perceive as their deities will, tapping into their Aranian power through a lense that echoes the divine.

Class Features
The following are the class features of the priest.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
A priest is proficient with all simple weapons, with light, medium and heavy armour and with shields (except tower shields). Additionally, she is proficient with her deities favoured weapon.
Spells
A priest casts divine spells. She can cast any spell she knows without preparing it ahead of time. To learn or cast a spell, a priest must have a Charisma score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a priests spell is equal to 10 + the spell's level + the priests Charisma modifier.
A priest can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per reinscription. Her base daily spell allotment is given on the Priest progression table. In addition, she receives bonus spells per reinscription if she has a high Charisma score.
A priest need not prepare her spells in advance. She can cast any divine spell she knows at any time, assuming she has not yet used up her allotment of spells per reinscription for the spell's level.
Deity
A priest must have deity, chosen from the list below. The deity also serves as their core principle and all divine spells they know must fit with their deity.
The priests selection of spells is limited, and must fit her deity. A priest begins play knowing four 0-level spells and three 1st-level spells of the priests choice.
At each new priest level, she learns one or more new spells, as indicated on the Priest Spells Known table. Unlike a priest's spells per reinscription, the number of spells a priest knows isn't affected by her Charisma score; the numbers on the Priest Spells Known table are fixed.
Orisons
Priests learn a number of orisons, or 0-level spells, as noted on the Priests Spells Known table. These spells are cast like any other spell, but they don't consume any slots and can be used again. Orisons cast using other spell slots (due to metamagic feats, for example) consume spell slots as normal.
Resonant Aura
At 1st level and higher a priest has a particularly powerful aura. (See the Detect Magic spell for details).
Energy Channels
At 2rd level a priest gains 1 additional energy channel. Every 2 levels thereafter, she gains an additional energy channel.
Wings
At 10th level, a priest gains wings and can fly at a speed of 60 feet (good manoeuvrability). A good-aligned priest gains feathered wings, and an evil-aligned priest gains batlike wings. A priest who is neither good nor evil may choose either type of wings.
Deities
The following deities represent those most commonly chosen by priests.
Mortaebius
Mortaebius is the God of Death. Unlike almost all Aran, priest of Mortaebius have access to necromancy and can create undead.
Suggested Spells: Cure Light Wounds, Inflict Light Wounds, Animate Dead, Create Undead, Raise Dead
Note: these spells are not allowed for standard Aran but can become available through divine intervention
Deity's Favoured Weapon: Scythe
