This exotic fan, was granted to Kumiko by the Goddess Beliria, at the request of Dae'run. Seemingly created out of thin air, this fan holds peculiar powers of deceit, to further Kumiko's abilities to successfully infiltrate and learn things others might not be able to.

Superficial Knowledge (Ex): Using the fan while maintaining a cover identity, Kumiko gives the appearance of knowing more than she actually does. She may make untrained Knowledge and Profession checks pertaining to her cover or assumed identity as if she were trained and gains a bonus equal to half her level on these checks. Each assumed identity has two associated skills to which this effect applies, chosen when assuming the identity.

For example, a when masquerading as a noblewoman, she can make untrained Knowledge (history) checks about the Empire and Knowledge (nobility) checks about its noble and royal families as if she were trained, but she cannot make untrained Knowledge (nature) skill checks to identify herbs.
