Telean, in life, refused to adhere to the cycle of reincarnation. He took extreme measures to extract himself from the cycle and appears to have done so, after a fashion.

After his death, the Ghost of Telean rose and set in motion a series of events culminating in his ghost regaining a semblance of life by absorbing the five terrestrial gods of the Shimmering Basin.
