When Sunset Water realized that there'd be a use to a long term stay in Suran she had a need for a more reliable and substantial source of income than taking the occasional high risk bounty hunting contract and depending on the largesse of the Sultan and Sultana.

Not that their largesse in particular was unreliable, but some distance was desirable.

As such, Sunset Water cashed in a substantial amount of her financial reserves, bought a house that could double as a base of operations and started recruiting.

Organisation

The Hounds of Artemic are currently a small operation of only a couple of dozen bounty hunters, although they act throughout Suran they mostly focus on contracts not far from Shatrah. Unless a contract appears to be a trivial challenge Hounds always act in pairs, covering each others weaknesses.

Nadeem bin al'Ahad leads the bounty hunters in the absence of Sunset Water.

Current State of Affairs

The Hounds of Artemic are currently in a somewhat uncomfortable state of limbo. While Sunset Water had enough time to set up properly and ensure the organisation would run smoothly in her absence, she had only a few months before she left with the rest of the Circle to adventure in the West, leaving the health and allegiance of the organisation uncertain.

The Hounds are not shy on work; bounty hunting is the main stay but they do more than that alone. They've made a name for themselves culling predators, hunting bandits, running messages, collecting debts, guarding caravans and altogether getting paid for whatever their employer wanted done and wouldn't get them into trouble with the local rulers.
