The Shimmering Basin is a secluded region of the deep south. Though inhabited, the nomadic tribe libing there mostly keeps to themselves—the occasional trader visiting to trade tools and goods for the precious gems and firedust gathered by the tribe. Five gods are prominent in this region: [[Galila]], [[Rahat]], [[Mahir]], [[Hiba]], and [[Oda]]. However, on {DATE}8 Resplendent Earth 775 the [[Ghost of Telean]] absorbed the five gods to regain a semblance of life, effectively removing the gods from the area.
