Neshati was set free by her last owner three months before the enactment of the slavery prohibition law. The husband of her owner could not afford to keep her around anymore, and she was unceremoniously kicked out. She joined the Serpents of Igani before the actual recruitment had begun, and has since shown that she is not only a capable warrior, but a rather uncompassionate killer. She confessed to killing at least three men whilst trying to survive on the street.

Neshati was probably born into slavery, as she herself does not remember anything else.

She holds the rank of Ha-mazan.
