Diving suit especially suited for exploration
This first Diving Suit commissioned by the Jedi Order is one designed for exploration.
It features a wide visor to allow a mostly unhindered view of the wearer's surroundings. Three lights around the neck illuminate the area in front. The lights can be switched off.
This suit is suitable for one person with two arms, two legs and a tail. The tail can be folded into a compartment at the back, if the wearer does not have a tail.
The two-finger-gloves make a good compromise between dexterity and insulation.
The helmet and upper torso are rigid but designed with excess space for freedom of movement and to be able to allow people of varying sizes to wear the divers suit. The lower torso is designed with the same requirements in mind, but is attached flexibly to the upper torso for comfort.
The fuel cells and other functions for life support are at the back of the neck and upper torso.
The extremities are made from a relatively flexible insulating fabric with extra flexible sections so that the suit can be worn by most Jedi of the Order at the time the suit was commissioned.
The suit also features:
- Detachable flippers
- An interface with information on the suits condition on the left lower arm
- Tool compartments at each lower arm; simple tools for sampling are included.
- Compartments for storing samples on the torso; sample containers included.
- Hooks under streamlined covers at the hips and lower back to attach stuff to.
