The Dealasach Society of Kotimme is the collective name of the committed adult population of natives, settlers and their descendants committed to keeping Kotimme a safe, healthy and pleasant home.

The society is a meritocratic one, where everyone fulfills functions suited to their abilities, personality and ambitions. Governing functions are just a part of all functions a healthy society needs.

Key to making the system work: mature, confident, resilient population, inherently motivated to make things work.

To maintain this the following is deemed very important:

Social security and mobility are deemed very important, therefore health services, education and other means of personal development are viewed and treated as central pillars of the society.

History

The Ineo are the native inhabitants of Kotimme. Being an aquatic species, they mainly inhabit Kotimmes seas and marshes. They seem to have been a relatively technologically developed society with limited interest in population growth for multiple millennia

Times of Chaos

During the times of chaos, another species inhabited the surface of Kotimme for a while. They had little respect for the world around them, leading to rampant population growth and pollution.

About a thousend years ago, the pollution started to affect the delicate marine ecosystems the Ineo relied on to survive. By this time, multiple attempts by the Ineo to convince the surface dwellers change their ways had failed. The Ineo finally declared the presence of the surface dwellers an existential threat to them, and ultimately to life on Kotimme.

After a successful campaign, the surface dwellers were extinct a decade or so later and the planet started to recover.

Realizing that this could happen any time an alien species would find their planet, the Ineo decided to develop their space capabilities in order to explore and monitor the space around them.

Settlers

A few hundred years after The Pollution, a small fleet with refugees were spotted in the space the Ineo considered theirs. The condition of their ships was bad after several close encounters with pirates and they were looking for a place free of the oppression a d pollution of their home worlds.

While the planet had mostly recovered from The Pollution, it’s effects were still clear in the collective memory of the Ineo. Hesitantly, the Ineo offered the fleet temporary refuge to fix their ships, and prepare for a continuation of their journey.

During that time, friendships blossomed between children, understanding developed between adults and a shared vision for the future formed between leaders. The refugees that did not share thar vision peacefully left with the repaired ships, the rest settled permanently, and the Dealasach Societly of Kotimme was formed.
