However, there is one langauuage that is spoken almost everywhere: Galactic Basic. **Galactic basic** is spoken by practically all merchants, local policitians, military personnel, and everyone else on a civilized world. Even on worlds where another language is considered the primary language, almost everyone living in a city knows galactic basic as a secondary language. **Ryl** is often spoken as a primary or secondary language by [[Twi'lek]], it features intricate movements of the lekku as part of the language, making it difficult for non-Twi'lek to become fully fluent.
