Differences on Skill

Differences between by and the current version
Jedi are trained in many skills. In FWURG we model skills without ratings. A character either has a skill or does not have it. If they have it, they can successfully perform actions with that skill. Conversely, if they do not have a skill, and can thus successfully performthey cannot succeed at actions with that skill, no matter the excellence or they do not have a skill, and thus they cannot succeed at actions with that skill. It does not matter how wellnecessity of their player describes their action, no matter the excellence or necessity of their attempt, if they lack the skill, they cannot use iattempt. Skills are modelled as small distinct chunks of ability, sometimes requiring other skills before they can be learned. These requirements are listed on each skill's rules page. //[[Jedi Character Creation]]: Starting characters can acquire skills with their starting [[training points]]. [[Jedi Padawan]] must start with at least 1 skill.// //[[Jedi Progression]]: Jedi can learn new skills (as described below) with acquired [[training points]].// ==== All Skills ==== This is a list of all skills. To learn a new skill, they must find a trainer that can instruct them. Normally, the Jedi Order takes care of finding a trainer. Rare, specialistic, and exotic skills might require the character to venture out in search of a trainer. (When in doubt, ask around on the [[forum/Game Questions & Character Building]] forum.) Furthermore, many skills require that the Jedi has mastered one or more other skills. A skill can only be learned once all requirements are met. Once all requirements for a skill are met, the Jedi can learn the skill bey spending 10 [[Training Points]]. ==== Using Skills ==== To use a skill, the player simply described their character taking the approriate actions. If necessary add an OOC note stating you use the skill.
