Differences on The Frostwatch

Differences between by and the current version
**Role:** Defenders and Explorers of the Tundra **Emblem:** A crossed sword and arrow encased within a snowflake, symbolizing their dual roles as defenders and explorers of the tundra. ==== Overview ==== The Frostwatch is an elite order tasked with defending the frozen borders of civilization and monitoring the Abyssal incursions that threaten the Frostbound Tundra. Based at Frostwatch Outpost, they serve as the first line of defense against frost trolls, Abyss-touched creatures, and other dangers lurking in the icy wilderness. The Frostwatch are both warriors and survivalists, trained to endure the harshest conditions and thrive where others falter. The Frostwatch is more than just a military force; it is also a network of scouts, researchers, and guides. Their members chart unmarked regions of the tundra, recover ancient relics, and serve as vital intelligence gatherers for Frosthaven and Ironhearth. ==== Structure and Organization ==== The Frostwatch is a small but highly specialized group. Members are recruited from experienced rangers, skilled warriors, and knowledgeable scholars who demonstrate a strong will and adaptability. **Warden Commanders:** The leaders of Frostwatch operations, responsible for strategy, defense, and coordination with other factions. **Current Commander:** [[Warden Erynn Halefrost]] oversees all activities from Frostwatch Outpost. **Frostwardens:** The rank-and-file members who patrol the tundra, defend the outpost, and gather intelligence. Each is trained in survival, tracking, and combat. **Field Researchers:** Scholars and alchemists specializing in Abyssal phenomena and magical anomalies. While not fighters, they accompany patrols to document findings or analyze relics. ==== Operations and Duties ==== **Patrol and Defense:** Frostwardens patrol the wilderness around Frostwatch Outpost, intercepting hostile creatures before they can reach Frosthaven or Ironhearth. **Abyssal Monitoring:** The Frostwatch keeps a close eye on the Howling Abyss, documenting and responding to any signs of increased activity. **Exploration and Mapping:** Members chart unmarked regions of the tundra, often uncovering lost ruins, forgotten paths, or hidden dangers. **Relic Recovery:** The Frostwatch specializes in retrieving ancient artifacts from ruins, particularly those connected to the Abyss or frost magic. **Community Support:** While their primary role is in the wilds, Frostwatch members occasionally act as guides or protectors for caravans and expeditions.
