==== Description ==== The Luminarum is Frosthaven’s grandest structure, serving not only as a place of worship and refuge but also as the seat of the city’s council, where critical decisions about trade, defense, and exploration are made. Its gleaming frostglass spires symbolize the unity of faith, governance, and resilience. The council chamber, known as the Hall of Accord, is located within the Luminarum’s main sanctum. Here, Frosthaven’s leaders—representatives of factions, guilds, and key organizations—gather to deliberate and set the course for the city’s future. The room’s design blends practicality and grandeur, with a circular stone table surrounded by high-backed chairs, each marked with the sigils of Frosthaven’s major factions. Overhead, a massive crystalline chandelier casts refracted light across the chamber, a subtle reminder of the city’s reliance on balance and harmony. While the Luminarum retains its spiritual purpose, its dual function as a political hub has made it the heart of Frosthaven’s survival and growth in the frozen expanse. ==== History ==== The Luminarum was originally constructed as a temple and sanctuary during the aftermath of the Abyssal Siege, offering solace and guidance to Frosthaven’s beleaguered citizens. Over time, as Frosthaven’s influence grew, the need for centralized leadership became apparent. The Luminarum, with its symbolic importance and central location, was chosen to house the city’s council, transforming it into a center of governance as well as faith. ==== Current Role: ==== **The Council Seat:** The location of Frosthaven’s ruling body, where decisions on trade agreements, defense strategies, and exploration missions are made. **A Diplomatic Hub:** A neutral ground for negotiations with other factions, including the Emberforge Clans, Ironhearth, and Frostspire Academy. **A Spiritual Center:** A place where citizens come to pray, seek guidance, and find hope amidst the tundra’s harshness. ==== Key NPCs ==== **[[High Priestess Lyvara Emberveil]]:** The spiritual leader of the Luminarum and an influential voice on Frosthaven’s council, known for her wisdom and diplomacy. **[[Captain Korran Flamebrand]]:** A Vanguard representative who often advocates for stronger defenses and preemptive strikes against threats. **[[Tharok Grimbellow]]Tharok Grimbellow:** Forge Assembly’s voice on the council, ensuring Ironhearth’s contributions to Frosthaven are recognized and its interests protected.
