Background

Kaelen was born to a human mother and an elven father who abandoned them shortly after his birth. His mother struggled to provide for him in Frosthaven, and when she died of illness, Kaelen was forced to fend for himself in the Chitterlings. He quickly learned to navigate the icy tunnels, scavenging for food and supplies while avoiding the dangers of the Abyss-tainted areas.

Over time, Kaelen became known as "Frostshade," a shadowy figure who could slip in and out of the Chitterlings unnoticed. He made a living by stealing from the wealthy above and selling his findings to the desperate below. Despite his criminal tendencies, Kaelen has a code of honor: he never steals from those who have less than he does, and he often uses his skills to protect the weak and vulnerable.

Kaelen is a lean, wiry figure with pale skin and a gaunt face, marked by the harsh conditions of the Chitterlings. His silver hair is tied back in a loose braid, and his piercing blue eyes seem to glow faintly in the dim light. He wears a patchwork cloak made of scavenged furs and leather, and his boots are reinforced with metal scraps to navigate the icy walkways. His movements are quick and deliberate, betraying his years of survival in the treacherous tunnels.

Kaelen is a survivor first and foremost. He’s resourceful, cunning, and distrustful of outsiders, but he has a soft spot for the downtrodden and will go out of his way to help those who remind him of his own struggles. His time in the Chitterlings has left him with a dark sense of humor and a knack for finding opportunity in the most desperate situations.
