History

Kael was born in Frosthaven to a family of merchants, but the icy winds of the tundra always called to him more than the clinking of coin. At 17, he joined the Frostguard, the military arm of Frosthaven, quickly rising through the ranks due to his skill with a blade and natural leadership. His talents earned him a transfer to Icewatch Keep, where he excelled in defending the Frostbound borders from marauding ice goblins, Froststalkers, and raiding parties from rival factions.

At 29, Kael led the defense against the infamous Howling Horde, an army of Frost Giants that descended upon Icewatch Keep. Against all odds, he rallied his outnumbered soldiers, using the frozen terrain to his advantage to outmaneuver and ultimately repel the giants. This victory cemented his reputation and earned him the title of Commander.
