Ashwalker Tarrek

Final version of removed Ashwalker Tarrek
Residence: The Cradle of Flame

Fire is not destruction—it is renewal. From the ash, life can rise again. But the Abyss? It offers nothing but silence.

— Tarrek

Age: 39

Race: Human

Occupation: Seeker of the Forgotten Flames, Warden of the Cradle of Flame’s Outlands

Physical Description

He wears a patchwork of charred leather and cloth, reinforced with molten-touched metal plates scavenged from old ruins. Around his neck hangs a talisman of obsidian shaped like a flame, said to pulse warmly when danger approaches. A jagged, rune-etched scimitar known as Ashfang is always at his side, glowing faintly in his grasp.

Personality

Tarrek is stoic and introspective, rarely speaking unless necessary. He carries an aura of solemn determination, his words often laced with cryptic wisdom. Though he maintains a calm exterior, those who know him sense an undercurrent of grief and anger, rooted in the tragedies he has witnessed.

He is fiercely protective of the Cradle of Flame and the fragile balance it represents, often acting as a lone wanderer and protector of its borders. While wary of outsiders, he harbors a grudging respect for those who prove their intentions and strength.

History

Tarrek was born into a nomadic tribe that roamed the volcanic wastelands surrounding the Cradle of Flame. As a child, he displayed an uncanny ability to withstand and manipulate fire, earning the title of Ashwalker after surviving a rite of passage that involved walking barefoot across a field of smoldering embers.

Tragedy struck when his tribe was ambushed by frost wraiths sent by the Howling Abyss. Tarrek survived but was left as the sole survivor of his kin. Grieving yet resolute, he swore an oath to defend the Cradle and its sacred flames, dedicating his life to hunting Abyssal creatures and uncovering lost knowledge of the primordial fire.

Over the years, Tarrek became a wandering sentinel of the tundra, known for his tenacity and knowledge of the Cradle’s secrets. His journeys often take him to the far reaches of the Shard Sea, where he searches for ancient relics tied to the elemental forces that shaped the frozen world.
