The term "Elysium" is used to indicate both locations, and events. This page describes the location Elysium. A location can be declared Elysium. These are well-known locations where violence is not permitted—depending on the local customs this might or might not include the use of certain disciplines. Elysia come in both Masquerade friendly and Masquerade unfriendly variants. Usually a City has one or more well-known locations indicated as Elysium. Most cities also have a recurring event called "Open Elysium", that many in kindred society attend regularly. The name refers to the fact that the event is open to all members of kindred society in the city. The [[Keeper of Elysium]] is responsible for organizing these events and handling any necessities related to the event. This includes scheduling, arranging for podium space for speeches, and ensuring that the attendants behave in a civil manner.
