A character can have multiple Contacts background ratings, with each rating associated with a broad social circuit. These social circuits are indicated in broad strokes. For example, the "Criminal" circuit consists of both criminals, fixers, private investigators, beat cops, police officers, and detectives. Several of these groups of people might just as well feature in the "Law" circuit, together with people working in the DA's office, FBI agents, defense lawyers, and judge's aides. The extent, applicability, and fitness of a social circuit for the series is at the storyteller's discretion.
If the storyteller deems the Contacts background to be applicable on a roll, the highest of the applicable contacts ratings is used.
For examples of potential social circuits see the Potential Contacts Circuits notes.
