Performance for the Prince
The prince asked me to give a ballet performance (Session 21) and asked after it again later (Session 25). Naturally I cannot refuse. Gabriella suggested I can do Kitri's fan dance from Don Quixotte, Act 3 (Session 29).
To perform Kitri for the prince, I needed an outfit. I bought a fan first (Session 33) and later I got fabric for a outfit when it turned out buying it was just not going to work (Session 35). I finished the outfit finally and set a date for the performance (Session 36), but when I performed I made a bit of a mess of it. Some restoration is in order, and I need a headpiece, because roses do -not- work for me. Either way, the performance went reasonably well. Even if it wasn't all I'd hoped, the prince was pleased! (Session 37)
Egyptian Dances
While in Luxor, I got a chance to practice with some traditional Egyptian dancers (Session 55). They rather sabotaged me during the performance and I completely blanked out so it was a deadly embarrassing performance (Session 56). I took some time to show pointe to Sitamun and Merti, though I'm not sure I was the best teacher. They seemed to like it though (Session 58). Finally, I danced Nikiya and told the story of La Bayadère to the court, which I feel was a much bigger success than my earlier performance (Session 59).
