Arranging the Trip

While planning our trip, I behaved quite unacceptably towards Dwayne. (Session 44), so I decided to offer my Tiara to Markus Gottschalk in trade for arranging the trip Dwayne is hoping for to Egypt as well as a Gladius I think he'll like. Markus decided to part with them in exchange for me arranging the Prince to agree to part of his plan.

Since the Prince needs to approve my trip, I need to talk to her anyway (Session 45). The Prince would agree if I could convince Levi Wise. Levi Wise agreed once I agreed to do him a favour and the Prince honoured the deal. She also gave me permission to go to Egypt! (Session 46).

Cairo and Modern Egypt

We arrived in Cairo, and were taught the protocols to meet the Sultan (Session 47). Our presentation to the Sultan went well and we are allowed to stay in Cairo (Session 48), and I found a place to stay with the Keeper of Elysium for Cairo, Tayyib Masur. The Elysium in Cairo was actually the perfect place to gather information we need for the rest of our trip. I helped the wife of the keeper, Hala al-Nasira, find blood-dolls for the event (Session 49). I then attended the Elysium and found some contacts of Senepset there (Session 50) and gossiped and fed. The Elysium came to an end successfully (Session 51). After seeing the sights and preparing, we finally left Cairo to head to Luxor (Session 53).

Worldwide Etiquette

I brushed up on my etiquette especially internationally - hopefully this will help in Egypt (Session 47). At the Pyramids, a guide helped me with some insight about Egyptian court customs (Session 51). I got to use my new skills too though as we need somewhere to stay in Abu Simbel, and through Hala I managed to arrange the address of Sir Blakely, a British gentleman of clan Ventrue who may provide hospitality (Session 52). I also got to use them when I was sent to visit Faysal by Prince Menkheperre, as Faysal had offended the Prince by not wanting to share his wife! (Session 55) After leaving Luxor, Sir Blakely received us and kindly provided me with an opportunity to buy a débutante gown with his friend Elize before he presented us to the Prince of Abu Simbel, and I got to practice my social skills there with them (Session 59). With a lot of effort, I managed to use those skills to leave a good impression in Tel Aviv in the end (Session 63).

Pharaoh's Gold

Nehbet arranged for us to meet a woman, Senepset as we'd learn later, to help us get clothes to wear in Egypt (Session 45). After meeting her in Cairo she took us to a women-only shopping center, where a complete disaster with an automatic staircase ripped my debutante gown (Session 48). Fortunately, the store - and various others - were able to provide me with a whole set of new outfits for my visit to Egypt.

I'll really need to find some proper Egyptian jewellery to wear with it. The Egyptian Museum seems to have some good pieces, though my friends suggest I ask a contact of Senepset instead at the Elysium (Session 49). I spoke with Francine and Andre Le Compte who have the jewellery, but they aren't entirely convinced to loan it out yet. I dropped plans to use the museum (Session 50). I managed to pick up some useful knowledge about Francine and Andre through gossip which we might be able to use to secure our jewellery (Session 51). After promising to introduce Francine to the Prince of New York and arranging more car matters for Andres, I managed to loan 1.6 million in Egyptian jewellery. Once we are done in Luxor, we'll need to eventually visit Cairo again to return the jewellery loaned from Andre and Francine as they aren't allowed to visit Luxor anymore. (Session 52). After visiting Luxor and Abu Simbel, we returned to Cairo and I returned the jewellery. I'll miss having such fine things again, but fair is fair. As a return favour, I arranged for Francine and Andre to be allowed to visit Luxor again. (Session 59)

Luxor and Ancient Egypt

The Prince of Luxor, we hear, honours Egyptian traditions and we ought to dress in the appropriate style (Session 49). We travelled to Luxor with a plan and I may have overacted a bit to try to get us a place to stay in the palace. I angered Princess Menti and now I'm stuck sleeping on the foot end of her bed... (Session 53). I've settled into the household of the prince reasonably well now though (Session 54). The prince was kind enough to get me some new outfits (Session 56), but I may have gotten a tad overconfident as Sitamun tried to serve me up to the Prince (Session 57). The Prince was kind enough not to harm me and instead made me pretend to be his first wife, much to the chagrin of Merti and Sitamun, who waited for an opportunity and attacked me in the baths, only to be punished by Amenia who protected me. I did get hurt though (Session 58). Feeling sorry for them, I freed Merti and she immediately attacked, feeding deeply upon me and tying me to the ceiling. Sitamun and her were sent to the dungeons by Amenia and the Prince kindly had some extra blood provided for me. We've left Luxor now, but I'll have to write Merti later, I'm sure she didn't mean that badly. (Session 59)

See the Sights in Egypt

Dwayne wants to see all the sites since we're heading to Egypt anyway and I'm glad to come along and see them too. Before even getting to Egypt, we made a stop in Rome. Upon arrival, we realised we didn't know where the Prince Francesko of Rome was staying, but fortunately, Carol helped out. We were allowed to stay for a few nights and we looked at some tourist attractions in the inner city. It was very beautiful! (Session 47) We planned a date to see the Pyramids at Giza (Session 50). We visited the Pyramids and the Sphinx - they are HUGE, and we saw a shade of some sort (Session 51). In Luxor we first visited the Temple of Karnak (Session 54), where I had some visions and while visiting the Valley of the Kings, we were beset by some sort of demons (Session 57) - they might have been after the guide, but I'm not entirely sure (Session 58). We next flew to Abu Simbel and visited the impressive temples there (Session 59). In Alexandra we visited where the Great Lighthouse once stood, the Necropolis of Kom El Shoqafa (though I did not go inside), Pompey's Pillar, the Temple of Taposiris Magna, and various minor locations and I purchased some gifts for my friends back home (including Cierra) (Session 60). Upon returning to New York, I gave gifts to all the friends I left behind, including Egyptian silk scarves for Tamara and Carol, a necklace for Gabriella, alabaster carvings for Cierra, a bust of Nefertiti for Imogen and a plushie camel for Prince Michaella. What a beautiful country! (Session 63).
