The owlkin are an avian race who were borne out of one or more magical mishaps. Though bird-like in their appearance, they are creatures of the arcane, first and foremost. Each owlkin's journey is a different one, their struggle to understand their own origins, as well as their place in a world of magic a key part of their identity. Particularly difficult is the journey of those who are marked by arcanists as abominations alongside owlbears or gibbering mouthers. For some owlkin, their origins are as much of a curse as anything else. Yet all owlkin are blessed with heightened mental faculties, as well as the ability to gain fortitude after being touched by magical power. Whatever knowledge they seek, whatever wisdom they gather, the journey of an owlkin is one steeped in the arcane nature of the world and beholden to the wiles of magic itself.
