Differences on Lucrece Delisle

Differences between by and the current version
Lucrece is a former Knight Dragoon hailing from Ishgard who has recently moved to Gridania to start life anew, on his own terms. Still coping with the effects of years of war and repression, he is doing his best to meet new people of all backgrounds and to adventure across Eorzea. On the surface, Lucrece is polite and courteous. He does his best to follow the rules and customs wherever he is--to varying degrees of success--and is cordial to those he meets. This can, however, translate to seeming uptight, a stodginess implied by his rod-straight posture and unwillingness (or inability) to fully engage any given person or situation. There is always something held back, like his smiles that don't quite reach his eyes. Perhaps this guardedness is reflective of his training and the coping mechanisms he adopted. There is a dark edge to his sense of humor, a nod to the absurdity of his circumstances: above all, that he should live on and experience moments of merriment when so many have been buried in his past. When someone is able to break through the glacier and melt the layers upon layers of ice, however, Luc is brimming with a more playful humor, affection, and a creativity that he'd never previously realized. Despite not having any formal education (he's only somewhat comfortable with reading and writing), he enjoys playing with words and making jokes, from the crass to the refined, based on the tolerance level of his audience. In this state, he finds himself willing to untense his muscles and dance or sing, activities that he delights in, much to the detriment of the eyes and ears of those around him. In fact, the more he's able to reach through the wintry haze, the more he's starting to realize a new path for himself, Halone willing.
