The Joliet Herald, more commonly known as The Herald, is a local Chicago newspaper.

Owned and Printed by Ira C. Copley, though ran in practice by his wife Edith Copley, the newspaper focusses on local news, gossip and minor news, with very popular columns on relationship advise, recipes and fashion.

Because of its lower status, however, the Herald occasionally has some unique scoops, in particular regarding news that more well established publications like the Daily News or Chicago Tribune might not publish.
