Changelog 2021-03-26

This week we again add a lot of new features to the World of Darkness system, including a full overhaul of the game system configuration. All this is discussed in this weeks blogpost, so be sure to check it out!

World of Darkness

  • Added a category to rituals to allow them to more easily found. Categories are listed in the autocomplete for convenience
  • Preloaded types were expanded to include categories for rituals
  • Added Merits and Flaws listings in configuration for creature types that have merits and flaws enabled. These will autocomplete on the character sheet and automatically fill out the correct value (or leave the points value blank for variable merits / flaws)
  • Preloaded types with merits and flaws now automatically fill the list form their main source book
  • Can now set option to allow gestalt sub-type (i.e. Clan, Tribe) per creature type instead of global
  • Added a third option to have no subtype, such as may be applicable to Kine or early edition Mummies and Wraiths
  • Preload types with no sub-types (as the aforementioned Mummies and Wraiths) or two sub-types (such as Demons and Orpheus Agents) are now automatically using the associated options without messing with other creature types also allowed in the campaign
  • Can now have multiple versions of the same creature type in campaign creation - this was already possible using preloads, so the two are now functionally in synch
  • Added Spectres, Kinfolk and Ghouls from their respective books. This also involved adding infrastructure to support multiple creature types drawn from the same source book
  • Added a new type of magical power, the "set level" power, where powers have a set and unchanging level unlike for example disciplines where you can have a different number of ranks in the discipline. This allows for werewolf powers to be fully supported instead of added as a manual field
  • Naturally werewolves were updated to include their powers now in the preloads
  • Made a complete overhaul of the WoD game system configuration, to hopefully create a cleaner experience of editing

Fixed Bugs

  • Health tracks and ritual listings are no longer displayed in configuration if they were enabled for the creature type (they reappear if you reenable them)
  • When manually adding a new creature type, the default seven level health track is now loaded in instead of the health track being disabled, to fit the more common usage
  • Fixed a bug that caused the subtype name of a preloaded creature to not display correctly in the config. This is display only, data-wise, everything worked correctly
  • Fixed a visual bug that caused the text "Subtype" to appear instead of the name of the subtype (i.e. Clan, Tribe, Court) when editing a character sheet.
  • Fixed a bug which prevented the creation of First Edition Werewolf or Vampire campaigns due to some missing data
  • Fixed a tiny layout bug where sheets without Morality (such as Humanity) would show an extra separator bar, causing vertical misalignment
  • Fixed a bug where the preload could create inconsistent arrow buttons for expanded creature types, requiring a double click. This bugfix was made obsolete by the game system configuration overhaul though

Pathfinder

  • Fixed a bug where characters with no level did not display hitpoints
