This week we continue our work on improving the World of Darkness system configuration and the theming rework, as part of this we have several tweaks to the World of Darkness system this week that set the stage for a larger upgrade.
In this week's blog post we show the result of time invested into one of the little things.
World of Darkness
- Attributes and Attribute column headers are now set by creature type, which makes it easier to have different types of creatures next to each other in the same campaign.
- The available Backgrounds are now set by creature type, which helps with backgrounds such as "Generation" for vampires.
- A minor drawback (that will be fixed in the near future) is that shared backgrounds need to be added to the list for every type. However, since the list of backgrounds is used for autocompletion, and does not restrict players this will not get in the way of allowing a player to pick a background.
- Removed the 'Unmanaged Backgrounds' houserule. Campaigns with the houserule were automatically migrated to use the new system, and should now have autocomplete.
- Several minor layout changes to creature type configuration, such as the Powers being moved to different section.
