This week we added the Announcements feature, and several quality of life tweaks. A quick overview of new feature and the changes can be found in this week's blog post Hear ye, Hear ye!
Announcements
- Campaign operators can now make announcements that are shown to all players of the campaign. Announcements show up on every page, making them a good way to inform every player of things.
- Players can mark the announcement as seen, and they won't see it again, until the announcement is edited or reactived by an oeprator. Even if players clicked away the announcement, they can always view it on the campaign's home page where all active announcements are always shown to logged in players.
- Operators create new announcements via the Announcements option in the configuration. An announcement has a title and message. Additionally, operators can deactivate and activate announcements, which allows them to keep the already written announcement around for later re-use, or to write the announcement and have other operators review it before activating it.
Formatted Text
- Tags that have multiple variants (such as [box], [show] or [sidebar]) can now be closed with the variant as well, meaning that [box:info]...[/box] is the same as [box:info]...[/box:info]. This helps editting pages because you can simply copy+paste the opening tag and add a slash.
Search
- It is now possible to navigate the search results with the keyboard by using the up and down arrow keys to select the result, and hitting the enter key to go to that result's page.
- If the search matches a single results, this results is automatically selected, so just hitting the entery key will immediately take you there. This makes the search work as very quick navigation tool if you know where you want to go.
Other
- Fix "Outdated" marker on characters in the character listing. The outdated marker now shows up properly in the character list. More information about why the character is outdated is provided on the character sheet itself.
- Character sheet's outdated message now more clearly indicates the game system of the character sheet, and the new game system of the campaign. This helps clarify what has changed.
- Fixed the not-so-appealing "mask" image used as a default for characters. The image is now a changed version of the Person default image.
- Fixed the button in the Wanted Pages view of the wiki (you can reach the Wanted pages view via the link on the index navigation bar) to be styled the same as other buttons.
- Made the "Leave Campaign" button in the Players listing an clearly dangerous button via red highlighting, next to the confirmation question. This is relevant because in an invite-only campaign you cannot rejoin after accidentally leaving.
- Added icons to the Join Campaign and Leave Campaign buttons. This makes them fit in with the other buttons on the right side of the menu bar.
