Settled by European settlers less then 100 years ago, the sprawling city of San Francisco was originally part of the Spanish colonies and Mexico, ceded in 1848 to the United States.

It experienced the Californa Gold Rush in the 1850s, leading to mass immigration from the west, and gained a lot of Asian settlers, Chinese in particular, in the last decade, many working for the railroads, as the city was recently connected by the Intercontinental Railroad.

The city is currently "disputed" within the supernatural community, as multiple people claim the title of Prince of San Francisco. As such, it has no clearly delineated territory.
