The Magical World
What is the Magical World?
The magical world is a campaign setting that uses the Kids on Brooms game setting, to learn more about the rules, you can check out the book on DriveThruRPG.com. The setting is actually closer related to another popular branding of wizards and witches who go to school to learn how to be magical warriors. Which is roughly all we can give without breaching into any copywritten material. That said, let's keep in mind to not reference any real world works of any other author or setting, and instead enjoy the experience that is, The Magical World.
Brief Synopsis of the Setting
Here in the Magical World, young people are gathered by what is known as the Mage Council, to attend an academy for those who have the potential of magic in them. Not everyone who comes to the academy also comes from a long line of magical people, and not everyone who comes ends up being a magical person. Just because someone is sensitive to magic, does not mean they can wield it, and in their cases, they are still welcomed and cherished for their abilities to involve themselves with the non-magical world and keep those who are awakened in the know.
Here at the academy, players will enjoy a series of magical lessons, assignments and extra curricular activities that are all designed to hone one's skill with magic. Players will make students of the Academy, Students here start between the age of 15-18, and must be beginner level. This means that if you are playing an older character, you should remember that it may not be uncommon to see a child surpass you and able to beat you. It's one of the downfalls of arriving into magic later in life. That being said, it should also not be uncommon to see older and younger people in the same year of class as you. Although remember, students under the age of 18 cannot venture into the magical city or real world city alone, without a professor pressent.
Future timelines will allow for players to make Senior Students, Heads of Houses, and even Professor characters as the game opens up to include the normal world, other classes, other groups of students, and of course, beyond the academy in defenses and battles.
