The office of Doge is held by the highest authority figure in the Silver Rain Republic, making them the de facto ruler of the republic. The Doge manages the Republic from the capital of Azannia. The Doge is elected every three years by the male nobles - that is, all male members of Silverite noble families, and the election generally involves a lot of backroom dealing, though in the end, the votes dictate and not everything can be controlled by those who would broker power. The current Doge is Doge Halaeron Sirdhem, who was elected in 2017.
