The ball was a splendid affair, although there was first the commotion of the arrival of Grand Master Ordenvil of the Adventurer's Guild - a donkey - along with the guild master. Another highlight was the arrival of Sir Milo Frost and Lady Riri Erlien who quickly became the centre of attention by several nobles, complimenting Sir Milo and Lady Riri on their engagement.

This was followed by the surprise arrival of King Reginald Turdy who was swamped by several other high ranking Voran nobles who requested audience with the king. The noted General John Johannen was also in attendance and spoke with a group of heroes about dire times, but then again, what is new? But the news was taken seriously by those listening. It concluded with the General offering to Dance with Rani. The arrival of other nobles occurred without incident. Dancing and chatting ensured, with the usual gossip flowing round and elders of the houses seeking to make matches with the unwed members of their house for future political gains. It was, by all accounts, a successful time, and enjoyed by all...

Then came the scandal of the night - Lala Ferency kissed Ulric Treny causing gasps and whispers about how this would go down within the two houses.
