a small handful of volunteer soldiers were issued orders to attack the siege towers discovered being built for the horde to farther assault our city with. this handful of soldiers, traveled deep into the hordes territory, leaving a handful corpses in their wake they failed to reach the towers. a retreat was forced due to overwhelming opposition.

One of the volunteers, seems like the failure weighed heavy on her small shoulders. Thinking of all the things she could have done differently, and things she will do differently when next given the chance. The one good thing to come out of the failed mission, was that no one was left behind. Her thoughts often wandered to what would have happened if that were the case, would they be slaughtered, or tortured for information, but there was no point dwelling on "What ifs". No, for now she would train more, mostly her stealth, and accuracy. If she had never been spotted, she wouldn't have almost died.
