The city of Duirt appears to be out of food and supplies. While there remains a trickle coming in through various channels, a notable one being the Druids who are sharing Goodberries and the Church of Eccles which is running a program to share what food is available in the most efficient manner.
Despite the efforts, it does not appear enough to sate the hunger people have though as there simply isn't enough to go around. Several people have already been reported dead of starvation, in particular the poor who likely had difficulty accessing food even before the supply ran out.
Talk is going around about slaughtering the cities horses for food which is not being taken well by the owners of said animals.
Special rule: At this point it is not possible for PCs to purchase any food items, including trail rations onto their character sheet.
Additionally, magic items that provide nurishment, such as Ring of Sustainance, wands of Create Food and Water and Sustaining Spoon have doubled in value, meaning PCs can sell them for the full Core Rulebook value or buy them for twice the Core Rulebook value.
The game rules for starvation for the moment do not yet apply to PCs, but this may change in the future.
