A dire fiendish centipede was discovered in a stable a couple of days ago as well as an elongated multifaceted reddish crystal that had an unusual magical aura. Both the corpse and the crystal were taken for the Tower for examination.

The centipede had been recently summoned and it was believed that the crystal was responsible. Whether or not this was related to the Cataclysm or was an independent, more recent event, is yet to be determined.

A representative from the Tower said "At the moment we're not ruling anything out". Arch Mage Kadrai was not available for comment.

Hekili is sure to soothe any fears about the centipede. Telling people how she punched the thing to oblivion, and even though it bit her, the bites was like a baby gumming on your finger. She also ensures the people that if another comes to the city, that she would just beat that one too.
