Leigh’s investigation took an unexpected turn as his informants unraveled a deeper conspiracy. While the initial reports tied Erin to the Silver Shadows, it became evident to Leigh that someone within the Port Authority was manipulating the situation. Here's what he pieced together:

The accusation of Erin’s involvement with the Silver Shadows originated from an internal report submitted by a Port Authority official. However, Leigh’s contacts unearthed that it was little more than hearsay, but someone within the Port Authority seized upon it to scapegoat Erin.

Erin’s alleged theft wasn’t just about the gold bars; it was part of a larger smuggling operation. Leigh’s guild contacts confirmed whispers of a high-ranking official using the Port Authority to reroute stolen goods into black-market channels. The missing gold might have been Erin’s way of interfering—or it might have been a convenient excuse to silence her.

Leigh gets the information to Erin through contacts so she knows more about what's going on.

So many matches to Erin's described features had started showing up at night. In different districts, sometimes at the same time! But always they were able to get away. But it was especially prevalent in the Port Authorities area of influence. As if "Erin" was searching for something.
