The Golden Lion was once again the source of another attempt on someones life, as during the dinner hours, a large group of people went running and screaming from the premises, jumping out windows and rushing out the door in an attempt to flee for their lives.

Apparently, some giant, undead looking hand of unknown origin appeared out of nowhere, grabbing one of the barmaids - a woman known around the city: Laleh Elaheh. It tried numerous times to pin her down and harm her.

Fortunately, the Golden Lion is a place of adventurers, and friends! Two other heroes stepped up to help defend the woman against the creature as she called for the patrons to flee and, if the rumors are true, picked up a knife from one of the patrons dinners to try and defend them as they did!

A Dwarven Woman that people described helping against the creature attacked it with her powerful sword and shield fighting style, even when the attacks on the creature caused it to burst pustules of slime all over her armored form! Patrons talk about how even though she only had just arrived in town, it was clear she was the heroine type, as she didn't bat an eye in jumping to the defense of the barmaid she'd only just met!

Others speak of the young man with the ashen wolf around him that frequents the tavern being heroic as well, using his abilities to try and keep the Barmaid from the creatures grasp, and eventually destroying it by pointing his finger at it and shooting it with electricity from his own body!

Though she was clearly injured in the fight, the barmaid survived the ordeal and was taken home by the young man with the ashes that surround him to recover. Why the creature seemed entirely focused on her as its target, no one seems to know, but its certainly lucky for her that she works in a place so well frequented by adventuring types - or folks are not certain she would have survived the ordeal.
