A strange thing happened at the Solstice Clearing in the Old Forest on the night of the Winter Solstice. The druids were about to start the appropriate rituals when a party from the Horde marched into the clearing. Everyone formed up into battle lines but the leader stepped forward and in a mixture of druidic and hodgepot, asked if his contingent could join in the celebrations as they too marked the Solstice. He also swore on the Spirits that no harm would come to anyone this night and they would honour this truce ... as long as the other side honoured it as well.
So it came to pass that the Horde and the local worshippers joined together in the Marking of the Longest Night and not a drop of blood was spilled. Both sides mingled, and at the end of the celebrations, those of the Horde left, as peacefully as they came. A warning was left though, that Duirt would still be taken, and if they valued their lives they should flee - but this Sacred Place would be left alone.
