Attackers: Siege Equipment
8 (+3): The attackers made an attempt to find weaknesses in the defenses and get troops inside the city walls, with goblins scouting for underground tunnels into the city. These attempts have been successfully fended off and many routes have been blocked. Nevertheless, the attackers continue to progress with additional defenses around their own camps.
The attackers currently have a large number of ladders, ropes and grappling hooks as well as log rams to try and batter down the gate, but attempts to gain a surprise entrance into the city have failed so far. The attackers are regularly being attacked by skirmishers and have started setting up their own defensive perimeters.
Defenders: City Defenses
8 (+2): The magical defenses for the city have held against several attacks and improvements have been made to try to prevent future attempts.
The walls are manned and towers equipped with ballista's and catapults. The city has reinforced the gates and some magical protections, but many of the defenses are constructed haphazardly as different factions each do their best to prepare. Heads of houses are discussing how to better coordinate.
Defenders: Supplies
21 (-2): A number of hobgoblin pirates roam the seas near the city, attacking merchant shipping, and they are now supported by sahuagin attacks (and rumours of a ghost ship). So far, the waters remain a possible supply route, but it is getting more difficult.
The city is using 6 supply each week and receiving 4 as the land routes on the Eccles side are blocked by the orcs and hobgoblin pirates cause issues for sea-based shipping, for a net -2 per week. With Sahuagin moving in, the sea-based supply routes may not hold.
Bloodport has agreed to send supplies, but it is limited in number of ships, so when it comes, it may be necessary to defend it. Bloodport also agreed to take up some refugees, which may help with the supply situation, though it is not guaranteed to help.
Attackers: Hoard Size
100% (-10%): Several guerilla raids on weaker goblins and hobgoblins have been successful, and a supply camp was raided and destroyed.
Combining these effects, the horde has shrunk somewhat, though it is still very large. Many in the city are concerned however, that though numbers are shrinking, the individual orcs that remain are the stronger ones.
Allies & Advantages
(+1?) Bloodport has promised a contingent of troops to support the defenders, which should arrive in 2 weeks.
