Lord Erlein's gratitude

No tags

With the defeat of the manservant possessed by the powers of darkness - not to mention a crystalized upper floor of the Snobby Seal in Maerleport - it soon became clear what had transpired to result in the death of Lord Garra's son.

Presented with clear evidence, a dead and very dark perpetrator, and the aid of the cities Cardinal, Lord Garra soon released Lord Erlein from the dungeons, apologizing profusely for the misunderstanding.

Lord Erlein for his part took the release quite well, offering his apologies to Lord Garra in turn, both for the loss of his son, and for the involvement of his manservant. It was a good thing as it seemed the conflict between them would end with the defeat of the darkness in Maerleport.

That wasn't the end of it for the heroes though, Milo and his friends being summoned before Lord Erlein.

"Sir Milo, you and your friends, Lady Rani, Lady Dominique and Sir Ai'Thorn, have done House Erlein a great favour" he explained

"Not only have you saved me, but more importantly, you have saved my sister and my cousin and my aunt, Lady Belwyn, Lady Riri and Lady Eonys Erlein. For though the Helfi twins were not intent on hurting them, they were in danger nevertheless and by defeating the darkness, you have kept them safe. I am deeply in your debt."

He noted firmly, the three women giggling slightly as they watched the heroes, whispering amongst one another. One couldn't help but think they were eyeing at Milo though.

"I grant to each of you a gift of 5000 gold for your aid, as well as a favour, should you need one in the future." he promised

"In addition, Sir Milo, I have received word from my good friend Lord Oris Tenderfoot, that you are in search of a wife. Should you be so inclined, you have my blessing to court the ladies of my House, and if they are so inclined as well, I would grant my blessing to a marriage."
