Nictis was quiet as he stepped down the small road that ran along the statues of the Hero's Park. Sighting the stone tree and looking for any new buds on the limbs he had been in earlier that day. Searching that all was well before heading to report his thoughts and findings to both the guild he belonged to, and then the queen of dragons.

Nictis slips past the guards without them noticing his presence at all.... and he investigates the stone tree carefully, but it is unchanged from the last time he inspected it. Going around the city takes some time and he is sure he has missed several gargoyles - no one seems to know about any gargoyles moving however or new ones where none had been before.
Except for a drunkard who swore he saw one move - the same statue he has been trying to pick a fight with for the last ten minutes.
He talks to the statue. What are your intentions? If you don't answer me, I'm going to stab you in the forehead. I already know your kind can talk. Then he waits for around 30 seconds, slowly draws his dagger and saber. And stabs it in the forehead just as he had warned. Just in case it was up to no good or to make sure it was just a stone statue.
