7 DAYS OF DARKNESS??? IS THIS THE END???

No tags

For the last week the "sun" has not risen. The land has been swallowed in nothing but complete night time. The tower and the church has been trying to figure out what has taken place. No one seems to understand what has caused thjs unnatural imbalance. The church has sent envoys to the Holy City of Glorian to see if they can reach the heads of the church and the seers to see if they can get some divine insight on what has taken place.

Even the druids are attempting to commune with the spirits of Nature to see if they can find out what is going on. Without the Sun the forest will soon perish as will all of nature and everything else that is dependent on sunlight for growth. No one seems to understand what is going on. In the meantime...the nocturnal creatures of the night seem to be having a FIELD day at this eternal night. They are coming out in droves and having a grand ole time.

The city guard and Watch have had to double their patrols to keep the city safe as have the Mages tower against the forces of darkness that prey. Creatures that hung in the ancient forest by night are also taking advantage of the eternal night. Some of them are even venturing closer to the city gates. Everything is out of balance untill something or someone can figure out what is going on or taking place.

More to come on this in the future. But now...the ENTIRE LAND is under ETERNAL NIGHT GOING FORWARD

he is one of those taking full advantage of all the night time and shadows to play and dance about. If asked about the eternal night he'll shrug. Maybe the Kraken finally inked himself all over reality after the Lady Dragon pummeled him one too many times. Laugh and then flit away.

Maeve looks up, curiously at the night sky. It's a welcome sight for a thief if nothing else.

After the first sunrise failed to appear, Alicia moved into the Cathedral, together with other faithful, to pray continuously for forgiveness of whatever sins the city had committed to cause the sun to disappear.

It was clear after a few sleepless... well... 'days' that this wasn't working, so between prayer sessions, quiet debates were held to see what penance might be necessary to atone.

Alula was rather confused as everything she knew about the Spirits indicated that the sun should rise in the morning and settle down for the night. A creeping worry started to overcome her if perhaps something had happened to the Sun Spirit.

While not really sure what was going on, she doubled up on her trapping of rats. The city would need all the food it could get if this kept up...

Fidessa didn't seem to mind the dark, she just continued playing reasoning the Sun would eventually grow bored of not being there and return. If not, she'd run over and have a talk with it. Plus, this was the best time to really long have slumber parties!

Treasure was actually quite pleased with the eternal night. She liked the dark, and being out in the sun made her skin and eyes hurt, so this was all quite ideal. She didn't say that of course, wanting to make sure she was saying the same things as the other members of her family about the matter, but sometimes her true thoughts on the matter slipped out.

Selene had been running between the Tower, the Library and Kadrai Keep on errands to help her father figure out what's going on.

"Uh ... we think it's still there ... it's just ... not shining at the moment. Nope ... dunno why yet"

Lucilia quietly spent her time in prayer and helping the sick. She wasn't quite sure what had caused it all, but she trusted she'd be told if there was anything she could do to help the situation. And there would be more wounded, she was reasonably sure of that. Especially once the panic started hitting the population...
