In search of Charlette - March 3, 2022

Summary: Jacob Daniels entered the Golden Lion looking for assistance. Charlette; a fellow Librarian had went to Bloodport to retrieve a Tome believed to be a Diary of an ancient Noble. She was due back three days ago and has not reported in. Attempts to contact her magically has failed. The party rode on horse back down the road to Bloodport following tracks they came upon a fork in the road. One lead to Bloodport and was in good order with cobblestones. The other was paved with loose rocks and dirt. Ahead the party discovered a dead donkey; used as mount for Charlette. The animal had its belly cut open and valuables from the saddlebags were removed. Following tracks the party discovered Charlette had been taken by some bandits. Along the trail in some woods they discovered some corpses of Bandits. One had its chest crushed the other was partially eaten. New tracks found belonged to a Troll, these led to a cave that was natural but forcibly modified to allow for larger entry. On entering the party discovered the Troll consuming a bandit. There was a lot of corpses in various stages of decompose and a cage made of bamboo where Charlette was held. The party made short work of the Troll; Shaylara scored a massive critical hit dealing a lot of damage with Selene finishing it off. The party used fire and Acid to prevent regeneration. The party returned Charlette to the Library and was paid for their troubles.
