PVP - Rulings

Yes, PVP is allowed and encouraged in game, so long as all parties involved are agreeable OOC. Should there be a conflict ICly, and PVP Is becoming a possibility, then there are a few rules that must be followed:

1 - There is to be no death without a Narrator present.

2 - If the situation is getting heated oocly, then either put the scene on hold until a narrator can moderate, or find a way to mutual end the conflict and refresh the scene or move to a different location.

3 - If someone doesn't wish to PVP, then they do not have to participate. However, that is not an invitation to start problems without consequence. If you instigate hardships, and do not want to PVP, you are to have your PC flee from the scene without action. That means you don't get to pull a cheapshot and run, you flee in fear of being hurt by the person you are instigating. This also opens up rumors and RP posts about how you behaved, There is no action without consequence.

4 - All PVP Should be in good fun and enjoyment, these rules are to protect against bullying. They should never feel like a punishment.

Examples of Acceptable PVP

Character A is giving Character B a hard time, making them feel bad and generally bullying them. Character C has had enough and stands up to Character A, which eventually breaks out in a fight and they settle it with die rolls.

Character A is a "thug" and RPing mugging someone (Either NPC or PC), Character B fights the thug character and a combat is started to see how it plays out.

Characters A and B enter a safe space to train and practice using their abilities and powers (Such as a "Danger Room")

Character A is Mentoring Character B and is sparring to train.

All of these are examples of when PVP can be fun. Keep in mind, All Players involved communicate OOCly and respectfully about the scene, and are sure that they are all having fun. If you intend on being a trouble maker, be transparent and clear that your a bit of a dick IC, and PVP is a possibility. Also be respectful of players who don't want to be involved in a scene like that and don't force it on them. YOU are the aggressor, not them. The secret to fun PVP is to find like-minded individuals and play in that situation. Not to be a Bully.

However, If you want to just Roleplay and not take part in PVP, It's best to be transparent as well, Do not use this as a safety net to instigate someone, and expect to fall behind the line of "I don't PVP". If you upset someone, expect to have initiative called on you. YOU are the aggressor in this scenario. You cannot expect to call Mike Tyson a flurry of insults and not get punched...This is your only warning.
