A new Mural in the Chitterlings

No tags

On the side of a building that has not collapsed, in a reasonably well travelled location, practically overnight a mural has appeared, and no one has claimed ownership to it.

It depicts Erskine, greater than life, asleep in a corner in the Dripping Dagger. Curled in his lap is a small child, and both are draped in a cloak that had clearly been placed there after both were asleep. Another cloak behind his head as a pillow. Around him, a shrine of flowers, folded papers with prayers, trinkets, carvings, and other items as the locals could put together in offering, be it to the Paladin himself, or to Auriel. On his head was placed a crown of arctic poppy and saxifrage. The lighting shone in from the window lit only his head, and gave him a halo of sorts, imparting a feeling of holiness or divinity.

There are those who scoff at the mural... only to be told that, despite the risks to himself, the paladin has been there, tending to the wounded without fear nor favour, pushing himself to the limits and then some, even to the point of exhaustion.

Some say he would nap for an hour, then the light of the dawn would surround him and he would continue.

Others say that he's not really the paladin, but an angel of Auriel herself.

Whatever the case, he has been a welcome pair of hands in the crisis of the chitterlings.

And when asked about the mural? The man known as Erskine simply smiles... while wearing a crown of arctic poppy and saxifrage.
