The Ashirra the vampire society in the middle-east and north Africa
The Ashirra is the vampire society active throughout the middle-east, north-, and east-Africa. Like the Camarilla or Sabbat, the Ashirra is prone to power plays and political maneuvering. In many aspects, the Ashirra operates in the same way as does the Camarilla.
Despite their similarities to the Camarilla, the Ashirra has shown no direct preference for either Camarilla or Sabbat, and has come into conflict with both. The fact that many in the Ashirra consider filial piety an important virtue, and see no reason to upset their ancestors has not put them in favour with the Sabbat.
Many members of the Ashirra believe that redemption for the Kindred was among the promises Muhammad made if they chose to follow Allah. In some instances, Ashirra can be used to refer to any vampire who follows Islam.
