Differences on Ferretfolk

Differences between by and the current version
Ferretfolk history is vague and riddled with mostly legends and fables since most other races don't want to get near the foul smelling beasts to study them. Some Otterkin and Ratfolk have kept written accounts, but those are strongly safeguarded from others as heirlooms or sacred texts. What is known, based on footnotes and minor details throughout other races' historical accounts, is that they were mostly left alone during the war, and weren't considered a threat. Those that resisted were individuals with no name who barely made an impact on their own. * Humanoid (Rodenian) subtype * Base Height: 2′7″ * Base Weight: 15lbs * Mature Age: 8 years. * Bonuses: Strength +2, and Constitution +1 * Subrace: You can choose between Mink, or Meerkat, or Mongoose. * Small Size * A Ferritfolk base land speed is 30 feet. * Thin Frame: You can squeeze through spaces. * Sharp Teeth: You can make an unarmed bite attack for 1d4 Piercing damage. * Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. * Automatic Languages: Common, and Rodenese. ==== Mink ==== * Ability Score Increase: Your Charisma score is increased by 1. * Semi-Aquatic: You have a 30-foot swim speed. * Natural Beauty: You have advantage on Deception and Persuasion skill checks to any creature that is friendly. * Friendly To A Fault: You know your chosen ally (one) cantrip. Charisma is your Spellcasting ability for this spell. ==== Meerkat ==== * Ability Score Increase: Your Wisdom score increases by 1. * Lookout: While conscious, you cannot be surprised. You have proficiency in Perception. You have advantage on Perception checks to detect an ambush. During any surprise round against you, you may take the dodge action as a reaction. * Agile Escape: When using the disengage action, you may move an extra 5 feet as long as you don't move within 5 feet of another hostile creature. * Burrower: You have a 15-foot burrow speed. ==== Mongoose ==== * Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 1. * Snake Killer: You have advantage on attacks and skill checks against reptilian creatures. You can make one opportunity attack per round against a reptilian creature that uses the disengage action. You have resistance to poisons and venoms originating from reptilian creatures. * Bravery: You have advantage on saving throws to resist fear effects.
